Seeing the Unseen in the Fire

The Fusion Vision System (FVS) is an Augmented Reality Smart device  that can be attached to firefighter’s helmet. FVS provides enhanced vision and information sharing abilities that will allow firefighters to see through smoke, locate victims and find fire sources.

Pain Points

Poor Visibility

  • Smoke causes zero visibility

  • Difficult to find trapped victims

Spatial Disorientation

  • Minimal sense of direction due to smoke

  • Risk of being separated from unit

  • Delay in reaching designated location

Invisible Fire 

  • Invisible fire is an extreme risk that must be tackled

  • The fire is not visible to naked eye

Limited Communication

  • Limited radio communication

  • No visual information
